Two matching jars of Light or Medium honey.<br \/>\n2. Two matching jars of Soft Set or Naturally Granulated honey<br \/>\n3. Two matching jars of honey displayed \u2018As for Sale\u2019<br \/>\n4. Two matching beeswax candles, prepared by moulding or dipping with wax from your own<br \/>\nbees.<br \/>\n5. One jar of honey (12 oz or 1 lb jar) entered by a novice. A novice being a member who has<br \/>\nnot previously won a 1st prize at a Beverley Beekeepers\u2019 Honey Show<br \/>\n6. A plain honey cake. Recipe overleaf. To be displayed in a clear plastic bag on a paper plate both of which can be provided.<br \/>\n7. A display of 3 items, a selection of hive and honey products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. The honey jars, with the exception of class 3, will only have labels supplied by the show sec.<br \/>\n2. The jars \u201cas for sale\u201d should be labelled with the sellers\u2019 \/ producers own label.<br \/>\n3. The items in class 7 can, for example, be honey, moulded wax or dipped candle, honey soap,<br \/>\nwax wrap, polish, lip balm, mead or other honey drink etc., etc. Literally any product that contains<br \/>\neither honey, wax, or other hive product.<br \/>\n4. We will accept any shape of jar in all classes, in weights of 300g and above<br \/>\n5. The honey used in the baking can be from any source and need not be your own honey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plain Honey Cake Recipe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>8oz Self Raising flour, 4oz unsalted butter, 8oz honey, 2 medium eggs, pinch of salt.<\/p>\n<p>1. Cream butter and honey together.<br \/>\n2. Beat the eggs, add them alternatively with the flour and salt to the butter and honey. Add a little<br \/>\nmilk if required.<br \/>\n3. Bake in a lined deep tin of 6 1\/2\u201d to 7 1\/2\u201d round tin for about 1 1\/4 hours at 160 deg C or gas<br \/>\nmark 3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NB ovens will vary in temperatures and timings are approximate<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Christmas Honey, Wax and Products of the Hive Competition 1.
