An Apiary may consist of one or hundreds of bee hives and though usually a permanent location it can also be sometimes temporary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beverley Beekeepers Association has its own Apiary entirely dedicated to demonstrations, teaching &amp; training of beekeepers, new or experienced. You can sign up for a &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.beverleybeekeepers.co.uk\/2020\/taster-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Taster session (opens in a new tab)\">t<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beverleybeekeepers.co.uk\/2020\/taster-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">aster session<\/a>&#8216; or a &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beverleybeekeepers.co.uk\/2020\/summer-programme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"6 week beginners course (opens in a new tab)\">6 week beginners course<\/a>&#8216; at this Apiary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If any surplus colonies are generated during the Summer season they are usually sold on to Novice Beekeepers or other Association members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our Apiary is managed and run by a team of volunteers from within Beverley Beekeepers&#8217; Association. At present there are approximately ten colonies on the site, which is no mean feat  to look after, especially when looking after your own Bees too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following photos show the typical sort of work undertaken by the Apiary volunteers.
