{"id":124,"date":"2020-01-16T09:07:10","date_gmt":"2020-01-16T09:07:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.beverleybeekeepers.co.uk\/2020\/?page_id=124"},"modified":"2020-02-04T08:56:24","modified_gmt":"2020-02-04T08:56:24","slug":"donate","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.beverleybeekeepers.co.uk\/2020\/donate\/","title":{"rendered":"Donate"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Beverley Beekeepers Association is a district of Yorkshire Beekeepers Association, which is a registered charity  No. 509743.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beverley Beekeepers\u2019 Association exists with two primary objectives: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>to promote and further the craft and science of beekeeping and associated interests<\/li><li>to advance the understanding of the general public to the importance of bees  both in the environment and in the economy.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n<p><!--EndFragment--><strong>How can you help?<\/strong><br \/>There are a number of ways in which you can support the work of the Beverley Beekeepers Association.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you have land that might be used for keeping bees?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our members are always looking for sites (apiaries) on which they can keep bees. With the changes in farming over the last generations, land with suitable forage for our bees is becoming harder to find. If you have land, it may be that you have a large garden, and would be interested in making that space available for a beekeeper please do let us know.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Not every space is suitable, vehicular access throughout the year and forage will be key considerations. We are always happy to discuss with you how your needs and the bees\/beekeepers needs can be accommodated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you have money?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We receive a reasonable amount of money in donations each year. This allows us to hold more events and purchase equipment, such as projectors, which supports our work educating the public as well as our own members.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you have old equipment or books?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It might be that you have inherited equipment or books, or perhaps you have given up beekeeping.
